Who will get Conner McDavid?

So as of right now, Conner McDavid is supposed to be the next #1 pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.  And since the NHL has changed the odds for the draft for next year, who will end up with this highly sought after prospect?
Right now, based on how pre-season has gone, and injuries and how the teams look. I feel that Carolina has a serious shot at getting Conner.  That also means, I think that they will be a terrible team this year.
They have already lost Jordan Staal for 3-4 months with a broken leg, their goalie has had injury issues over the last couple seasons. And they have basically been on a slide since they made their Cup run about 8 years ago. 
Only time will tell how their draft odds end up being.

Another team that could have a shot, Buffalo. 
I know they just upgraded their roster this season by adding some new and return talent to their dressing room and they drafted Sam Reinhart this year, but can they all mesh together and make it work this season?
They had the worst record last season and I don't expect it to get a whole lot better this year.
I don' think they will be the bottom team, but I think they will be bottom 5-8.

A couple of teams that, if they don't pull it together, will have shot at getting Conner are Calgary and Edmonton. 
Now every year Edmonton has that whole "it's a new season and we will be better this year" attitude and that is great to see especially since they have had that attitude for the last 5-6 years. But haven't changed a whole lot except their odds for first overall pick.  Who knows though, this could be the year that the Oilers actually move off the bottom of the pile and have a decent season.
Calgary, the re-tooling flames.  They have lost some key players over the last few years and haven't really replaced them until this season. 
Iginla, Kipper, Cammy, just to name a few.  They do have some young high end talent that is up and coming but are they NHL ready?  I don't think so. 
They are pretty bound up with 1 way contracts so that doesn't help the young players at all, and their draft choices while under the last couple GM's have been terrible at times to say the least.
Unless both teams step up and have a really good season this year, expect to see the TSN panel holding their team cards up on the draft draw show at the end of the season.
Those a few of the teams I think Conner McDavid could end up on come next pre-season.
But it's a long way from then and now, and there is always a team that nose dives towards the end of the season, so we will have to wait and see.
